The Charles H. Mitchell Activity Center, sometimes referred to as “the MAC” by students, is an 85,000-square-floor facility located directly east of the main building of Seattle Central. Available to the general public through a fee-paid Community Membership option, the MAC serves Central and the surrounding community by offering a variety of sporting and recreational activities, providing facilities for personal fitness and wellness, and hosting events and classes. Personal training is offered by certified trainers.

The mission of the M. Rosetta Hunter Art Gallery at Seattle Central College is to provide a formal venue for the Seattle Central community to experience the visual arts. The gallery typically presents nine exhibits throughout the academic year and one show during the summer quarter. Serving the Central community since 1992, the gallery features displays that contribute toward the educational and cultural activity on campus. Within the community at large, the exhibitions and events of the M. Rosetta Hunter Art Gallery communicate the strengths, achievements, and vitality of the college to visitors from community organizations, local businesses, public schools, other higher educational institutions, and the arts community. The gallery has forged partnerships with community arts organizations, further strengthening Central's ties to the community.

In addition to textbooks and other books, Central’s bookstore offers an array of gift items including apparel, mugs, pens, and other items showcasing school spirit. The store also offers greeting cards, gifts, dorm furnishings, and computer supplies as well as specialty supplies. There’s also an elegant, high-end line of recognition products for awards and gift-giving occasions. Mailing supplies, school supplies, and business accessories—such as portfolios, briefcases, and organizers—are always in stock.

The pastry case at The Buzz is filled with scrumptious treats made by students in our Specialty Desserts & Breads program, and has something new to offer every day. We are proud to serve Caffé Vita drip coffee and a selection of Rishi tea to accompany your sweet and savory croissants, sandwiches, fruit-filled tarts, and assorted breads. This is the place to be for your morning caffeine fix or an afternoon pick-me-up treat.

The One World Restaurant features a variety of authentic international cuisines. Menus change every two weeks and feature traditional European, Pan-Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American, and Pacific Northwest specialties using local and sustainable ingredients. The students in One World are studying fine dining service techniques and prepare some meals tableside. Please refer to the website for current menu and hours of operation. 

One World is connected to Central’s private dining room, the perfect place to host working lunches, meetings, or small celebrations for up to 30 people. Advance reservations are required for parties of six or more. Please call 206.934.4330.

At Square One, you can enjoy a quick and casual meal in the skylit Atrium or in our cozy bistro. Dine on fresh market salads, freshly made pastas, or local seafood, or try our soups and chowders prepared from house-made stocks. The WoodStone wood-fired grill cooks up artisanal pizzas. Pasture-raised meats and poultry are grilled and roasted, and are accompanied by organic, local, and seasonal produce. Got a sweet tooth? Sip an espresso made with Caffé Vita coffee and enjoy baked goods from Central’s Seattle Culinary Academy Specialty Desserts and Breads program. A beautiful 295-seat theater with proscenium stage, Broadway Performance Hall (BPH) is an intimate venue for dance, theater, music, film, and conferences. With a fully equipped stage, exceptional staff, a beautiful lobby, and box office facilities, local, national, and international groups from the amateur to the professional level have enjoyed the hall for over 25 years. BPH has accommodated everything from Spanish flamenco to standup comedy, from fully staged theater and dance productions to children’s recitals, and from college auditions to corporate meetings. The venue is available to host rental events.

Seattle Central’s Erickson Little Theatre off Broadway, also known as the Erickson Theatre, has an unbeatable location in the heart of Seattle’s bustling Capitol Hill neighborhood. This intimate “black box” performance space is perfect for smaller performances and is easily be adapted to host poetry readings, dance performances, plays, standup comedy, and more. The venue is available to host rental events.
